Fashion Week usually feels like a frantic sprint through a hall of mirrors—loud, fast, and intentionally fleeting. But on the night of February 12, following his latest runway show, Christian Siriano decided to hit the brakes.

The destination was The Eighth, a new Chelsea hotspot that feels less like a typical New York lounge and more like a fever dream of “slow” luxury. While the rest of the city was chasing the next strobe light, Siriano gathered an eclectic mix of icons (Natasha Lyonne, Taylor Momsen, Leslie Jones, and Monica) for a dinner that prioritized atmosphere over spectacle.

The venue itself is the brainchild of Legeard Studio and hospitality veteran Richie Romero. It’s a space designed by Julien Legeard and Valmira Gashi to feel “outside ordinary time,” and for one night, it served as the physical extension of Siriano’s latest work. The room was bathed in jewel tones and adorned with chain accents, mirroring the textures that had just walked the runway.

The menu, crafted by Chef Kat Williams, bypassed the usual “fashion portions” for real substance. Guests traded runway critiques over Jerk Honey Wings, Short Rib, and Wagyu Sliders. The drink of choice? The “Rambutan Rose” lychee martini, though Siriano stuck to his signature: The Eighth’s espresso martini.

However, the night’s real “emotional resonance”, a core pillar of The Eighth’s philosophy, didn’t come from the decor. It came during the toasts. In a room full of high-fashion heavyweights, the standout moments belonged to Siriano’s mother and his longtime muse, Coco Rocha. Their tributes turned a standard industry afterparty into something rare in this town: a genuine moment of reflection.

In an industry built on what’s next, Siriano and The Eighth proved there’s still plenty of power in simply staying put.
