Josh Brolin has been keeping busy, and he recently sat down to spill some details on everything from his latest mystery flick to the secrets behind that infamous Thanos snap.
First off, he’s genuinely hyped about filming the new Knives Out movie. He raved about working with director Rian Johnson and a killer cast that includes Andrew Scott and Josh O’Connor. Brolin admitted the role actually scared him a little, which is exactly the kind of challenge he loves to tackle.
Then, of course, there’s Thanos. He shared how the character wasn’t set in stone from day one, but grew through improv sessions with the Russo Brothers. The best part? Brolin revealed he never even got the real script for Avengers: Endgame. He’d show up on set having memorized fake scenes, only to have everything flipped on him. Talk about pressure.
So, would he ever put the gauntlet back on? He says he’d be open to it, especially if the Russo Brothers were calling the shots. He also gave a huge shout-out to Robert Downey Jr., calling him one of the bravest actors around. It’s clear that even after playing one of cinema’s biggest villains, Brolin is just an actor who deeply respects the craft and the people he works with.
