This year’s Emmys were a real wild ride, full of surprises and some seriously cool moments. The comedy side was totally dominated by “The Studio,” which basically made history by becoming the most-awarded comedy show ever in a single season. The co-creator and star, Seth Rogen (our fave), looked genuinely stoked when he kept winning for acting, writing, and directing. It was pretty awesome to see him so happy.
Over in the drama categories, “The Pitt” was the big winner, snagging the award for Best Drama Series. And get this: Noah Wyle, a guy who’s been on TV forever, finally took home his first Emmy for his role in the show. Another win that got everyone cheering was Jeff Hiller for “Somebody Somewhere”—he actually beat out huge names like Harrison Ford, which was a pretty massive upset.
But the most heartwarming moment of the night had to be when 15-year-old Owen Cooper won the Emmy for a limited series for his part in “Adolescence.” He’s officially the youngest person ever to win in that category. The show had a killer night, sweeping up all its awards. It felt like a night that celebrated both the classic TV legends and the fresh new talent on the scene, with a bunch of well-deserved wins for some great shows.
