What We Do in the Shadows Shines Through

Honestly, our favorite show of the year has been What We Do in the Shadows, especially it being set in Staten Island (no favoritism here). The humor and stellar cast has separated it from the equally hilarious movie of the same name, while also still maintaining the same world (ish). Matthew Barry and Kayvan Novak play these exaggerated yet layered characters while Natasia Demetriou steals every scene she is in. It is almost impossible to not focus on the smoldering Harvey Guillén, as he is our guide through the insanity that is vampirism. The cast was charming and engaging at their panel, giving us a ton of insight on what is to come in the new season. Could this season perhaps outshine the next? We shall see.
