Following the fan-favorite reception of the animated holiday feature Merry Little Batman, Prime Video and Warner Bros. Animation used their New York Comic Con showcase to roll out the first official trailer and release date for its upcoming spin-off series, Bat-Fam. The ten-episode half-hour action-comedy drops November 10 on Prime Video and Amazon Kids+, shifting the spotlight from brooding rooftop vigilantism to the surprisingly chaotic home life inside Wayne Manor.

Executive producer and showrunner Mike Roth was joined on stage by voice actors Yonas Kibreab, London Hughes, and Bobby Moynihan to introduce the first episode to attendees. Roth revealed that while a full spin-off series was not originally part of the plan, the overwhelming audience response to the initial film prompted DC and Amazon to expand this specific animated universe.

The core premise turns Wayne Manor into an improbable, packed household where iconic heroes and former rogues attempt to coexist under one roof. Returning at the center of the dynamic is young Damian Wayne, continuing his stint as Little Batman alongside his father Bruce Wayne, voiced by Luke Wilson, and loyal butler Alfred Pennyworth, played by James Cromwell. However, the domestic status quo expands dramatically with several new additions moving in. Joining the household is Alicia Pennyworth, Alfred’s free-spirited grandniece, along with Claire, a newly reformed super-villain trying her hand at heroics. Raising the stakes even further is the inclusion of Damian’s grandfather Ra’s al Ghul, who moves in as an overly affectionate “Pap Pap” despite remaining one of Batman’s most dangerous ideological adversaries. Rounding out the eccentric living situation is Man-Bat, who takes up residence in the manor’s belfry, and Selina, the family’s resident house cat.

The newly released footage emphasizes the show’s blend of mundane household friction and classic Gotham City heroics. Storylines balance typical family milestones—from awkward dinner table arguments to shared chores,with sudden interruptions by classic villains like Solomon Grundy, Killer Croc, and the Mad Hatter. The creative team noted that Bruce Wayne’s design draws heavily from real-world “dad culture,” pairing a full beard with casual sneakers to reinforce his role as a working father managing both a superhero outfit and a crowded mansion. In addition to the core cast, the vocal ensemble features guest appearances from veterans including Reid Scott, Kevin Michael Richardson, Diedrich Bader, and Natasha Leggero. Developed by Roth alongside executive producer Jase Ricci and Sam Register, Bat-Fam aims to offer a lighthearted alternative to traditional Dark Knight adaptations by proving that saving Gotham is tough, but managing family dynamics inside Wayne Manor might be the harder job.
