You know it’s the twilight of summer when it’s time for the U.S. Open. That is the perfect time between the end of the heat and the beginning of windy days and fallen leaves. Sometimes you get a special treat during the Open, and other times you also get a benefit with a great cause. The 20th Annual Citi Taste of Tennis was that benefit, and it didn’t pull any punches.
The event which benefited New York Junior Tennis and Learning was hosted at the iconic Cipriani 42nd St. and featured Executive Chef Richard Blaise, John Isner, Serena Williams, and Venus Williams. There was fantastic cuisine from Annise Hernandez-Scott (Davio’s) and sushi from Chef Morimoto, amongst others. Those who were luck to be there found themselves mingling with Andy Roddick, Coco Gauf, and Mike Tyson himself!
