Behind the Velvet Rope at Darren Dzienciol’s Infamous Haunted Hotel

On Halloween night in Los Angeles, the line between atmospheric cinema and high-octane nightlife dissolved completely inside Darren Dzienciol’s annual Haunted Hotel, presented by 1WIN. Long regarded as one of Hollywood’s most coveted invites of the season, this year’s edition elevated the Halloween tradition into a dark, immersive spectacle.

Guests arrived to find the venue completely reimagined as a eerie, 1940s-inspired hotel lobby. Stepping past vintage luggage carts pushed by menacing bellmen, attendees navigated an arrival path lined with flickering taper candles, deep jewel-toned florals, heavy cobwebs, and bloody mirrors shroud in dense fog. The thematic commitment extended to every detail, including gothic-inspired French maids serving gourmet burgers and fries from BUTTER BUN room-service style throughout the night.

Co-hosted by Vanessa Hudgens and Caliwater co-founder Oliver Trevena, the gathering drew a dense concentration of film, fashion, and digital culture figures. Hudgens arrived alongside husband Cole Tucker, joining a packed house that included Alix Earle, Big Slim, Ashtin Earle, David Dobrik, Dixie D’Amelio, Anastasia Karanikolaou, Corey Gamble, Josie Canseco, Landon Barker, Ross Butler, Will Peltz, Kenya Jones Peltz, Alex Consani, and Mike Majlak.

The musical narrative built steadily over the course of the evening. Jack Henry set the initial mood before Zack Bia took command of the booth, eventually handing off to DJ Cruz to close out the late hours. The peak moment arrived around 1:00 AM, when Machine Gun Kelly took the fog-filled stage for an unannounced performance that sent the room into overdrive.

Away from the main dance floor, partygoers gathered in the custom 1WIN Casino, trying their luck at interactive gaming tables for exclusive prizes. Industry figures like Mark Birnbaum and Rob Weiss were spotted alongside creators N3on, King Bach, and Alissa Violet, sipping signature LALO Tequila and Caliwater cactus water cocktails alongside Tito’s Handmade Vodka and flowing champagne.

Backed by lead partners 1WIN, Caliwater, LALO Tequila, Tito’s, and Butter Bun, Dzienciol’s latest production reinforced why his Haunted Hotel remains a defining pillar of Los Angeles nightlife culture.
