Rock and roll, high-stakes golf, and philanthropy collided at the iconic Sherwood Country Club for Golf Jam ’26, a star-studded charity tournament hosted by Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and Grammy-winning producer Andrew Watt. Benefiting the Chad Smith Foundation, the event raised crucial funds to expand music education, instruments, and scholarships for underserved youth.

Set against the backdrop of Sherwood’s famed Jack Nicklaus-designed championship course—a venue renowned for hosting Tiger Woods’ World Challenge and the PGA Tour’s ZOZO Championship, the day kicked off with a competitive 18-hole foursome scramble. A diverse roster of stars took to the fairways, featuring Hollywood heavyweights Will Ferrell, Anthony Anderson, Breckin Meyer, Kevin Connolly, Darren Weiss, and Travis Bennett (aka Taco). Joining them on the course were music legends Joel Madden of Good Charlotte, Charlotte Lawrence, Robby Krieger of The Doors, Mike Inez of Alice in Chains, and host Andrew Watt, alongside NBA legend Derek Fisher. The high-profile field was rounded out by artist Jonas Wood, Tassilo von Fürstenberg, designer Jon Buscemi, media personalities Blake Webber, Christopher Gialanella, and Madison Brodsky, as well as event producer Zev Norotsky—whose agency, ENTER, produced the day, and Lewis Smith, Executive Director of the Chad Smith Foundation.

Throughout the tournament, players and guests enjoyed premium hospitality options across the grounds. Attendees stayed energized with brews from Jolene Coffee and catering provided directly by Sherwood Country Club for breakfast and lunch. On-course refreshments and post-round cocktails were poured by Dos Hombres, the artisanal mezcal brand founded by actors Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston, alongside hospitality perks courtesy of Atlas Card. Following the round, guests gathered for an evening dinner and an exclusive live auction featuring rare, one-of-a-kind memorabilia and experiential packages, with all proceeds directly funding music initiatives for K-12 students.

Once the final putts dropped, the experience seamlessly transitioned from the greens to an intimate concert stage. Host Chad Smith anchored a powerhouse supergroup lineup, joining forces with Andrew Watt, Charlotte Lawrence, Robby Krieger, Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age, and Josh Klinghoffer. The legendary collection of musicians delivered a high-energy, collaborative live set that kept guests celebrating well into the night.

Founded in August 2025 by Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Chad Smith alongside Executive Director Lewis Smith, the Chad Smith Foundation is dedicated to eliminating financial barriers for young artists. By providing mentorship, instrument donations, and strategic financial backing, the non-profit serves as a vital launchpad for aspiring musicians across the country. All proceeds raised from Golf Jam ’26 directly bolster these programs, ensuring that talented youth from every economic background have the resources needed to pursue their creative passions.
