Verde New York is Exactly What the Meatpacking Needed

Fresh off successes in Paris, Dubai, and Saint-Tropez, the international hospitality powerhouse brings high-energy European dining and immersive nightlife to West 15th Street.

New York City’s Meatpacking District has officially reclaimed its title as the epicenter of Manhattan nightlife, and leading the renaissance is VERDE New York. Following celebrated debuts in Paris, Dubai, and Saint-Tropez, the internationally acclaimed hospitality brand celebrated its grand opening at 85 10th Avenue this past week, bringing a signature fusion of Mediterranean gastronomy, dramatic champagne presentations, and world-class music programming to the Westside.

Designed to evoke the electric, opulent energy of Europe’s premier dining destinations, VERDE offers an experience that seamlessly transforms from refined dinner service into an immersive late-night spectacle. Styled with a lavish palette of deep jewel tones, dark hues, and gold and chrome accents, the multi-sensory space features crystal chandeliers, oversized velvet drapery, mirrored walls, and a massive uplit marble bar. At the epicenter of the main dining room sits an uplit marble DJ booth, signaling from the moment guests arrive that music sits at the very heart of the venue’s DNA.

At the culinary helm, Executive Chef Julien Lee Thibault crafts an elevated Mediterranean and Provençal menu that emphasizes fresh, bold flavors designed for sharing. Highlighting premium seafood, expertly grilled seasonal vegetables, and artfully executed classic dishes, the menu is paired with a curated wine and champagne list, a bespoke cocktail program, and high-octane bottle service. Here, dinner is never just a meal—it is the prelude to an unforgettable evening.

VERDE’s invite-only grand opening proved that dining is merely the opening act. The debut drew over 500 high-profile guests, including actors Anthony Ramos, Jocko Sims, and Rick Gonzalez, alongside fashion, music, and nightlife royalty such as Charlie Walk, Vittorio Assaf, Scott Lipps, and George Wayne.

Soundtracked by DJ Alexander Fahlberg, the night reached a fever pitch with a surprise live performance by touring EDM duo Mojave Grey. Blending classic rock riffs with soaring live vocals and electronic guitar over driving beats, the duo had the packed room completely spellbound. As the midnight hour approached, glamorously feathered showgirls took to elevated platforms and roamed between tables, performing choreographed routines that blurred the line between guest and performer.

With its arrival on 15th Street, VERDE New York fills a distinct void in the city’s hospitality landscape, capturing the nostalgia of Meatpacking’s early-2000s golden era while projecting a sleek, modern international vision. By uniting world-class cuisine, theatrical design, top-tier musical talent, and uninhibited European flair under one roof, VERDE reinforces that the art of the multi-sensory dinner party is officially back in New York City.
